BSS Industrial gets a hand up in the handrail market

BSS Industrial has partnered with global supplier Kee Safety to offer a flexible range of fittings with a number of benefits. This coupled with an increased investment in handrail tube, enables BSS to offer a very comprehensive package to its customer base.

The range, which is now available from nationwide BSS Industrial branches, includes galvanised iron components and handrail tube as well as fittings which meet the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA). They are also specifically designed to meet the Building Regulations part M and British Standard BS 8300. The partnership with Kee Safety also ensures that the chosen systems are simple to install with only a standard hex key required without the need for threading, welding or bolting.

Andy Raine, BSS Industrial Category Director Piping Systems, said: "Our partnership with Kee Safety means we have a quality offering in place and have invested stock into our National Distribution Centre to ensure orders can be received within 24 hours of being placed. To complement the Kee Klamp fittings, BSS also keeps a range of galvanised handrail tubes from 33.7mm to 60.3mm outside diameter.

"We are hoping that by offering a flexible solution, and the complete package of fittings and handrail in this market, our customers will only need to make one visit to a BSS Industrial branch when working on buildings used by the general public. The range can be used as a retrofit solution, meets a number of regulations and is galvanised to ensure durability - making the lives of our customers easier and ensuring that they get the best product possible."
