18 December 2008
BSS Industrial has teamed up with Polypipe Commercial Building Services, to become the first national distributor to offer the PolyPress range to the marketplace.
The leading supplier of pipeline and heating solutions is now stocking a comprehensive range of PolyPress which is specifically designed for potable hot and cold water plumbing and heating systems. The range provides contractors and installers with a viable and cost-effective alternative to copper piping.
Frank Elkins, Managing Director at BSS Industrial, said: “We are continually working to develop strong relationships with manufacturers to bring new products and solutions to our customers. By teaming up with Polypipe we can now offer a market leading alternative to traditional materials, which provides greater flexibility and durability. PolyPress systems save installers time and money and being able to extend our choice of products is always advantageous in a developing marketplace.”
PolyPress is a multi-layered composite pipe, which has an aluminium core to fulfil the requirement for dimensional stability. Seven sizes of pipe are available from 16-63mm in size with an operating temperature of up to 95oC and up to 10 bar. A range of brass bodied adaptors are also available to allow the PolyPress system to be easily incorporated into both new and existing systems.
